HOLDAAK Fried Chicken

Got their lunch special, combo #1 for $9.99. It’s a chicken sandwich with fries and a drink. Fries were solid. Crispy and soft inside with a little bit of spice. Slaw and sauce of the sandwich was delicious. Would prefer a fried chicken breast instead of 2 tenders in the sandwich but it still tasted good.

This place is amazing. The staff is just so incredibly friendly, welcoming, and passionate about their food. We tried their Spicy Sandwich, Original Chicken Strips, & Daikon Slaw, but also had the opportunity to try their popcorn chicken & upcoming elote corn slaw! Their Spicy Sandwich - omfg it's SO GOOD. the chicken is crispy, juicy, and deliciously seasoned. my wife can handle up to spicy cheetoh for spice and even she was able to enjoy it. the pickles come out beautifully with that sauce they have on there for an incredible sandwich. probably one of the top chicken sandwiches in the valley now easy peasy Original Chicken Strips - Big & Meaty, Cripsy & Juicy. Just delicious. Plus if you get the Daikon Slaw on the side it adds a nice acidic tang to the flavors! VERY delish! They're coming out with a wrap variation of the sandwich and i honestly can't wait to go try it! Their professional energy and courtesy have absolutely converted me to a long-term repeat customer!

Nice environment with delicious food! I had the combo #4 which was 5pc chicken strips, fries, and a drink and cost less than $20. I would say that the amount of food for the price is definitely worth it. The flavor I got was the sweet chili which had a nice kick to it and the fries were super crispy!! I tried the comeback sauce and the honey mustard and both were delicious! I can’t wait to come back and try other flavors and meals! Definitely give it a try!

Okay this place is so delicious! The spice that they use on their chicken sandwhiches is so flavorful, and everything is cooked perfect. This place also has, hands down, the best fries that I can even think of in this area. If you are looking for seriously delicious food, check this place out. It's the same price that you pretty much pay anywhere else for this meal, so overpriced, but at least the food is so good:)

I love this place. Got the #1 Seoul Spicy Sandwich with fries, comeback sauce and a Dr. Pepper, also got a #3 Chicken strips and fries (no seasoning) for my son (he's kinda picky). I got the Elote but didn't like it, flavor wasn't what I expected. The sandwich was very different than other hot chickens, it wasn't spicy at all and they had interesting things in there so it was more of a refreshing sandwich somehow, and the comeback sauce tasted great on it, the seasoning they put on the fries is really tasty, kind of spicy (my 8yo son loves them too). He also loved their chicken strips; crispy, flaky but juicy inside. Their chicken strips are some of the best I've had. So good! We both got a macaroon ice cream each and ate it all up, they were really tasty. Portions are average size, not huge. Prices are fair for the good quality. It's a nice, clean place with a bunch of tables inside and a couple outside. It's right next to Starbucks in a plaza with their own parking. The girl at the counter was nice. Been back a bunch more times for their chicken strips.

I ordered the number three, comes with two piece chicken tenders & got an extra tender(two Seoul Spicy & One spicy) with fries. The Seoul Spicy was my favorite flavor by car, had a nice sweetness to it and it wasn’t too spicy. I wish the spicy one had a little more kick to it. The fries were pretty good for crisscut fries and they had a nice crisp to them. I also got their house sauce aka comeback sauce, Cheese sauce, Ranch & Honey mustard sauces. Definitely enhanced the chicken and fries. I definitely recommend this spot and is probably in my top three spots for “Hot Fried Chicken” restaurants.

No doubt about it, this chicken is AMAZING! The spice level is great (although I wish I had the option to get a spicier level) and well-balanced. The manager displayed excellent hospitality and was very patient with us, explaining the menu and all the different options we had since it was our first time here. We went with his suggestion of trying the sandwich and the strips, and we were not disappointed. Also, the sauce paired excellently so that is a must have with whatever you eat here! We’ll definitely be coming back. The place was clean, seating spaced out, friendly staff, and excellent food!

Hot Chicken Gauntlet Part 7 Sandwich: 10/10 One of the best sandwiches weve tried so far! Had a very comfortable level of spice, and it was not the star of the show. It had a great sweetness from the sauce and slaw to mingle spice. It was very complex and enjoyable. Portion size was fantastic, just right. The combo comes with one sandwich, which has with two strips! Slaw: 10/10 Star of the experience, it was such a sweet and cool flavor. Worked well with amazing crunch. Had both daikon radish, picked onions, AND green bell pepper. Managed to make the sandwich refreshing while still spicy. Great crunch- not soggy at all. Sauce: 7/10 Had a great consistency, thick but still able to spread. Had a nice twinge of sweetness Honestly beneficial that it was not a standout because the sandwich was a powerhouse itself. Fries: 6/10 Basic, good serving. VERY fresh and hot! Liked that that it has the same seasoning as the sandwhich. Pickles: Not applicable (though there were picked onions!) Price: 7/10 Combo does only come with one sandwhich, BUT does have two tenders! Unlike other places with a two sandwhich combo they have one tender each but you are paying overall less to get the splits me two sandwhich experience. Great price for solo dining! Notably does come with a drink+free refill. Dining Experience: 6/10 Came like an hour to closing, so we imagine it probably is a lot more packed in prime time. Nice atmosphere. Kinda uncomfortable chairs. Bonus Points: +1 for coming with a drink. -1 for soda fountain being kinda watered down towards end of night. +1 very creative slaw. +2 nonstandard spice ranking and offered different flavor profiles as well. OVERALL SCORE: 50/60
